As we move into a new year, let's take a look at a recap of INSERT AREA's real estate trends from 2023 and the market predictions for the future.
What did we see last year?
As an agent, I have a front seat to what's happening in the market. Last year, we saw higher interest rates, which held back many buyers, and limited inventory (or available homes for sale). Despite some areas having a decreased number of sales, many buyers had less competition, and sellers benefited from increased home values.
The INSERT AREA Stats To Know:
Here's some insight into market activity and trends in 2023 -
- # of Homes Sold: X
- Average Sales Price: X
- Average Days on Market: X
- Average Home Value: X
Next Year's Predictions:
Many experts predict a decline in mortgage rates, which could encourage more buyers to make a move. At the same time, this could lead to more competition in the market for buyers. There are also predictions that home prices will rise around 3-4% nationally. And thanks to years of rising home values, many sellers could benefit from increased equity. Weโll also likely continue to see a reduced inventory of homes for sale.
What I'm Seeing in our Market:
Many expert real estate predictions are based on large geographic areas and overall trends. However, real estate is local and can be personal as well โ especially when considering your own real estate journey. I foresee that there will continue to be people who have the goal of homeownership or need to make a move. That's why real estate continues to sell in our local market!
